Come on Satan grow up.First of all, its GNU/Linux not Linux.I repeat,Linux is merely the kernel,GNU/Linux is the whole OS. Now this guy,Paul Campbell has obviously sold his soul to Satan Inc. The guy no longer works for the state government (just think about it, he convinced-rather bullied,threatened and fooled-<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">CMS</span> to install Windows. Then when they got to work on Windows, it started crashing every 666 seconds and the blame rightly fell on this guy, Paul Campbell. <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">CMS</span> realized they were fooled and kicked Paul out. That's why he is longer in <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">CMS</span>.I am pretty sure of that).<br />While they are talking of saving money($10 Million in 5 years), <a href="http://illinoisissues.uis.edu/state/cms.html">just see</a> how much <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">CMS</span> has already spent. $10 Million in nothing compared to that.<br /><br />Let try to read behind the lines a bit.<br />"We can't take big risks with our technology "-Yeah, we just throw technology down the drain.<br />"State government needs trusted,tested technology that's reliable and predictable": Yes absolutely. Trusted to crash. Tested to use every bit of computing resource your PC has even in standby mode. They will soon be releasing their OpenSolaris OS under GPLv3(I wish they also change the name to FreeSolaris or GNUSolaris or GSolaris.I dont understand why people like the word <span style="font-style: italic;">Open</span>).<a href="http://www.eweek.com/article2/0,1895,2084284,00.asp"> Read here.</a> So people let me tell you. GPLv3 is here to protect your freedom, to prevent you from being a slave of the evil(Read Microsoft). And since OpenSolaris will come with the GPL v3 license( arguably the best thing to have happened to computing since emacs), its time you format your hard drives and install OpenSolaris, until GNU Hurd finally arrives(perfection does take time) and gives you the freedom you all are craving for. Linus has been going over-board with his dislike towards GPL v3.<br />Huh..What is Linux without all those GNU software. This happens when you get fame that you don't entirely deserve.Not everyone is a saint like me. So now Linus will know what it means to defy GPLv3. Lets see how Linux survives this.
